EXILE MENTOR PROGRAM

We are pleased to announce that due to the early success and interest in our Exile Mentor Program, we have decided to continue it throughout the summer.  We are also expanding the number of sessions to allow additional younger Exile players to take advantage of the Program.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Program, we provide younger Exile players an opportunity to develop critical technical soccer skills with the help and guidance of the Exile coaching staff and some of the top older players in the Club in small group sessions.  At each session the younger Exile players are paired with an older “mentor” to provide 1 on 1 guidance, encouragement and teaching.

The sessions focus on the essential soccer fundamentals of dribbling, receiving and ball striking and are organized and run by Exile Coach J.B. Frost and the mentors. The older mentors have all been personally selected for their leadership qualities and desire to share their knowledge and passion for the game with other players.

The Mentor Program sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons at Malaga Cove throughout the summer. Each Sunday will feature two one hour sessions for the first 12 younger Exile players to sign up with Jill Frost.  Session times for each Sunday will vary slightly based on tournament schedules but will all be in the late morning or early afternoon. The exact schedule for each week will be circulated to those families that have expressed an interest in participating in the Program and will also be posted on this web site.

The cost of the Program is $25 a session and all of the proceeds from the Program will go directly towards helping the older players take personal responsibility for paying for the opportunity to play for the Exiles. If you have any questions regarding the Program please feel free to contact J.B. or Jill Frost.

Thank you and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to work with your child in this exciting new Program!
